Eric is Taalcentrum-VU’s senior editor and course developer, responsible for our customized communication workshops. He’s also a language doctor: he diagnoses what ails our clients’ texts before taking them into his surgery. There, he excises the verbal flab and grafts on new conjunctions and clauses. He then writes prescriptions for soothing linguistic unguents and stylistic balms. Now that’s real medicine! Eric always eats a healthy and varied lunch, rich in vitamins and fibre, washing it down with litres of sugary cola or cups of strong java. In his spare time he writes books about language. And in his even sparer time he paints cityscapes on wall-sized canvasses.
