Learning the ropes is something our English instructor Sue knows quite a bit about, both figuratively and literally. From mastering the intricacies of Dutch to learning how to work the mooring lines on Jentje Berendina, a 1929 cargo ship which she and her husband now call home, Sue is always up for a challenge. In fact, she is currently trying to learn Italian, because when she isn’t teaching English or navigating the waterways of Europe, you’ll be sure to find her in the hills of Liguria, drinking wine, enjoying regional dishes and talking with the locals. Family, friends and her pug Vinny are her everything. Her motto? Work hard, but enjoy life with the ones you love even harder.
